10 Best Easter Songs to Play at Your Family Celebration
Easter Day is coming! Do you know why Easter is called Easter? Christmas songs reign supreme when it comes to holiday music. Every spring, radio stations don't change their formats to include their favorite Easter songs. In any case, what are everyone's favorite Easter songs? Sure, everyone has a favorite Christmas song — or at least a favorite Christmas song (hello, Mariah Carey fans), but Easter songs are much more difficult to come by. (You can only listen to "Easter Parade" or "Peter Cottontail" so many times.)
With that in mind, we've compiled a list of our favorite Easter Sunday songs. They're mostly worshipful, but there are a variety of musical styles sprinkled throughout, including folk, pop, country, and one of the most popular Broadway soundtracks of all time. Put them on as you decorate eggs, fill Easter baskets with gifts, make Easter crafts, plan an Easter egg hunt, or come up with a unique dinner menu. Christmas music will get a run for its money if you have these in your back pocket. (Did any of your favorite Easter songs slip through the cracks? Let us know in the comments which ones are at the top of your playlist!)
